HD Reception in Japan

Posted: 2005-07-13
I have recently moved to Yokosuka, Japan from the U.S. I am interested in receiving Japanese (or English) HD channels. What are my options? I have a TV capable of over-the-air HD channels in the U.S. I've been unsuccessful getting useful information from the internet.

I currently live in the US, but my understanding is NHK, especially its BS channels broadcast plenty of HDTV materials. In order to watch BS channels you need to subscribe either cable or satelite since you need to pay monthly fee to watch. Other networks are trying to catch up with NHK, so you should expect more in near future.
