Since graduating in Japanese from London University's School of Oriental and African Studies in 1991 I have worked for a variety of Japanese and western news organisations, in London and Tokyo. Most of my work has been as a technician, a camera operator or studio technician, though I am currently working as a freelance 'coordinator' and cameraman in the UK.
I have just started studying for a PhD at Sheffield University.
